Detailed requirements

  • - Citizen AND current resident of an OKP-eligible country (Indonesia is eligible) - you cannot apply if you already live/work abroad
  • - Currently employed as a working professional - NOT intended for recent graduates or students
  • - Must be nominated or sponsored by your employer or a relevant organization - individual self-nominations are generally not accepted
  • - Your employer must agree to grant leave of absence and a return guarantee after the scholarship
  • - The chosen course/programme must be on the approved OKP list at a participating Dutch institution (not all Dutch universities are OKP partners)
  • - English language proficiency: IELTS 6.0+ or equivalent (exact requirements vary per institution and programme)
  • - Must commit to returning to your home country and employer after completing the programme
  • - Priority given to professionals working in areas aligned with Dutch development priorities (water, food security, health, governance)

Who can apply

Employed professionals from OKP-eligible developing countries (including Indonesia) who are nominated by their employer for a master's degree or short course at a participating Dutch institution in a development-relevant field.
