JASSO (Japan Student Services Organization) provides two scholarship programs for international students in Japan: the Monbukagakusho Honors Scholarship (¥48,000/month) for privately-financed students with financial need, and the Student Exchange Support Program (¥80,000/month) for short-term exchange students under university agreements.
