MOE Taiwan Scholarship - Bachelor's Degree
The MOE Taiwan Scholarship covers tuition (up to NTD 40,000/semester) and provides a monthly living stipend for bachelor's degree students at any accredited Taiwan university. The scholarship and university admission are two completely separate processes — you must apply to both independently. TOCFL Level 3 is required for Chinese-taught programmes.

How to apply
- 1Step 1: Research Taiwan universities and programmes at studyintaiwan.org
- 2Step 2: Prepare documents: transcripts, study plan, language certificates, recommendation letters, health certificate
- 3Step 3: Apply for the MOE scholarship through your local TECO office (Feb 1 – Mar 31)
- 4Step 4: Simultaneously apply directly to Taiwan universities for admission
- 5Step 5: Await scholarship results (May–June) and university admission decision separately
- 6Step 6: Submit your university admission letter to TECO by 30 June (required to keep the scholarship)
- 7Step 7: Arrive in Taiwan in September, register for ARC, activate insurance
