- - Hold a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) meeting the specific programme's admission requirements
- - Strong motivation to contribute to sustainable development as an "agent of change" upon return
- - Preference for candidates employed in higher education, government, or civil society
- - Newly graduated or private sector applicants may also apply with strong motivation
- - Cannot hold another scholarship simultaneously
- - Cannot have previously received a Belgian government scholarship
- - Cannot have previously enrolled in a Belgian higher education institution before January 1 of the intake year
