
Romanian Government ARICE Scholarship
The Romanian Agency for Investments and Foreign Trade (ARICE), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, awards 40 scholarships each year to international students wishing to enrol in Romanian-accredited state universities for Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees. Only 40 seats annually; non-EU/EFTA citizens only; includes a free one-year Romanian language course. Dental Medicine, Stomatology, and Pharmacy are excluded.

- - Priority given to non-EU and non-EFTA citizens
- - Romanian citizens are not eligible
- - Citizens who have applied for protection in Romania are not eligible
- - Citizens who hold a long-term Romanian residence permit are not eligible
- - Strong academic record at previous study level
Who can apply
40 international students annually from non-EU/EFTA countries (including Indonesia) for fully funded Bachelor, Master, and PhD studies at Romanian-accredited state universities. Priority areas: Economics, Agricultural Sciences, Technical Sciences, Oil & Gas.

How to apply
- 1Step 1: Visit arice.gov.ro/1/burse-2026/ and read all application files (Annex 1, 2, 3)
- 2Step 2: Download and complete the application form and all annexes
- 3Step 3: Prepare required documents (passport, academic transcripts, recommendation letter, medical certificate, CV, photos, declaration of non-benefit)
- 4Step 4: Submit the complete file via the ARICE platform before 12 June 2026
- 5Step 5: Wait for the Ministry of Education selection result (emailed and posted on ARICE website)
- 6Step 6: If accepted, receive Letter of Acceptance and apply for Romanian study visa
