The Lester B. Pearson International Student Scholarships are the University of Toronto's most prestigious award for international students, covering full tuition, books, incidental fees and residence for four years. Approximately 37 scholars are selected annually from nominations submitted by secondary schools worldwide.

Requirements
Detailed requirements
- - Must be an international student (non-Canadian, requiring a study permit)
- - Must be in final year of senior secondary school in the application year, OR have graduated no earlier than June of the previous year
- - Must begin studies at University of Toronto in September of the award year
- - Students already attending post-secondary studies are NOT eligible
- - Must be nominated by your current secondary school (one nomination per school per year)
- - Schools must be verified by U of T; new schools can apply to join the program
- - Must apply to at least one undergraduate program at U of T by October 17
- - Use of generative AI (e.g. ChatGPT) in scholarship application is prohibited and results in disqualification

Outstanding international secondary school students worldwide who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, creativity, and leadership potential, nominated by their school to study at the University of Toronto.

How to apply
- 1Ask your guidance counsellor or principal if your school is eligible to nominate a student
- 2If school is not yet verified, they can apply to join the program at apply.adm.utoronto.ca/register/pearson-participate
- 3School nominates one student via the secure nomination form (deadline: October 10)
- 4Apply to at least one undergraduate program at U of T via OUAC by October 17
- 5After nomination, receive a private link to the Pearson Scholarship application form
- 6Submit scholarship application and all required documentation by November 7
- 7Await results: recipients notified starting end of January; all nominees notified by April
